Three young Somerset cricketers, Jos Buttler, Chris Jones and James Burke have all been selected to play for England Under 17s next week to play in a one day followed by New Zealand Under 19s at Sleaford in Lincolnshire.

Batsmen Buttler and Jones and bowler James Burke are all currently members of the ECB Regional Academy which is based at the County Ground in Taunton.

Buttler hails from Wedmore in Somerset and plays his club cricket for Glastonbury in the West of England Premier League, Jones is based in Dorset and plays for Bashley in the Southern League, while Burke is Devon based and plays for Exmouth in the Matthew Clark Devon League.

All three are very highly rated by the cricketing authorities and have already played for Somerset Seconds this season, where they have all enjoyed considerable success.
