STEFFAN IN SQUAD FOR DURHAM
Steffan Jones replaces Andy Caddick in Somerset's Pro40 squad for Wednesday's clash with Durham at Chester-le-Street.
The visitors will pick from 12 shortly before the game, with Jones and Mark Turner looking to break into the side beaten by six-wickets by Sussex in their opening Pro40 game on Sunday.
Ian Blackwell is again omitted, while Caddick has been re-routed to a second XI fixture to get more overs under his belt as he continues his comeback from injury.
Somerset cannot afford to start their Pro40 campaign with two defeats, something Marcus Trescothick is quick to acknowledge.
He told somersetcountycc.co.uk: "With so few games in the competition you need to get off to a good start. We need a win after the Sussex result, but it certainly won't be easy as Durham have some quality players.
"There are no easy matches in the First Divsion of Pro40. But we were beaten by one superb individual innings by Matt Prior on Sunday and hopefully we won't come across anything quite like that at Chester-le-Street."
Durham go into the match boosted by their Twenty20 Cup quarter-final victory over Glamorgan, which gave them a place in finals day at the Rose Bowl on Saturday,
