Somerset cricket could be standing on the brink of a new Golden Era, with the way that things are taking shape on the playing front and the news that with 10 weeks still to go until the start of the new season membership now stands at well over 4000.

Guy Wolfenden the Head of Sales and Marketing at SCCC said: "There has been an absolutely fantastic response from supporters especially in the final week of the discounted period at the end of January."

"We have been simply overwhelmed by the numbers of applications that we have received, many from people signing up for the first time. The office staff have been working flat out to process the forms and we hope that members will bear with us  as we try to clear the backlog!"
