Between 2002 and 2005 he played in 10 Test matches and five One Day Internationals for the West Indies and during his Test appearances he scored 318 runs at an average of 26.50 and took 28 wickets at a cost of 48.82 each.

In all first class cricket, Omari has played in 56 games for the Leeward Islands and scored 1754 runs at an average of 37.15, whilst with the ball he has taken  159 wickets at 37.15. In all one-day cricket Banks has scored 833 runs at 29.75 and taken 56 wickets at 26.01.

In the one Second XI championship match that Omari played in for Somerset in 2007, against a strong Hampshire side which included internationals Shaun Udal and Sean Ervine, he scored 116 and 69, and took five wickets for 94 runs.
