Right-arm medium fast bowler.
Andy went to Hanley High School in Worcester and played for Herefordshire at Under 15 and 16 levels, who he went onto represent at Minor County level between 2003 and 2006.
He joined the MCC Young Cricketers in 2005, and remained playing for them until the summer of 2007. Andy was spotted by Somerset when he played against them for Gloucestershire at Taunton Vale Sports Club in a three-day game back in May.
As a result of that game he joined the club for an extended period last summer and has been awarded a contract by Somerset for 2008.
Andy appeared in the rest of the Second XI championship matches, where he played an important part in helping the side to runners up spot in the three day game and also win through to the final of the Second XI Trophy where they lost out to Middlesex.
During his six Second XI Championship matches, Andy bowled 113.3 overs, 24 of which were maidens and took 14 wickets at an average of 32, ending the season strongly with two four wicket hauls in the last two games.
Andy has played both football and rugby and is a Manchester United supporter.
